Orange County Supervisor of Elections
On Aug. 16, Chief Judge Lisa Munyon of the Ninth Circuit Court removed independent candidate Cynthia Harris from the ballot for improperly paying her qualifying fee. All ballots cast in the Democratic primary election were voided, and the Democratic primary was canceled. This race is now open to all voters.
Orange County Commission District 1 — Nonpartisan RUNOFF
A write-in candidate who raised no money and did not campaign received 15 votes, denying both Nicole Wilson and Austin Arthur the more than 50 percent of the votes necessary to win the primary. Now they go head to head in the general election.
